Of Summer, Mother Benign and Amaltas

Nature, the mother benign,

tries to keep her offsprings living

and in good humour.

Even while the going is pretty tough,

right in the peak of scorching summer,

with mercury going berserk, and

the heat wave threatening to

suck out every single drop of water

from the body, rendering it

dehydrated, moving towards death,

The mother benign promptly

lends a caring, comforting touch, with

bright and cheerful Amaltas in bloom,

literally bursting into a riot,

so liberally cascaded

like a long yellow wall

and a wide canopy above,

so soothing to the eyes

giving a virtual cool shade to

the suffering humanity.
