Bells of Faith

Bells of faith at a temple

chime loudly, rhythmically,

travelling heavenwards,

mingled with passionate

words of prayer emerging from

a grateful heart

or some tormented soul

seeking consolation and succor.

A mortal’s prayer,

the chiming bells carry,

to the Immortal

for His blessings and relief,

Or sometimes, it could be

an SOS message to bail him out

of a grave crisis,

deep distress and agony.

Bells of faith are,

as the believers say,

the bells of hope

that sustain you

until the storm is over.
