Going…going…gone

Going…going…gone

Gazing at a tired sun,

reduced to

a mere dim orange dot

in the western sky, 

preparing itself to call it a day. 

Seemingly in such a hurry

to hit the horizon and 

disappear behind the hills, 

to find rest and rejuvenation 

leaving behind a gray sky…

turning darker,  black ultimately.

Ah, seems so tranquil…peaceful!

Hark! It’s going…going…gone!
